Prayer


Dave Lockard praying with doctors and nurses in NicaraguaPrayer is a key element, if not the key element, of the ministry of Outstretched Arms.  It is by and through prayer that our ministry is enabled and continues.  God's people are called to pray: for one another, for the church, for the lost, and to pray without ceasing. 

Praying 'without ceasing' seems almost impossible.  How can we pray all the time!  Because of the blood of Jesus we are enabled through the Holy Spirit to have constant communion with the Father.  This is regardless of circumstance, situation or geographic location.  Prayer can be focused during a particular moment, or prayer can simply be a quick thought conveyed to the Lord as we live throughout the day.  Recently we saw a license plate holder that sums up for us prayer, it reads like this - "PRAYER... just do it!"

Prayer, our own and that of other believers, gets us ready for what God wants to do in our life!  If you have a particular prayer need, please let us know so we join with you in prayer.

We often refer to our ministry as that of  being a R.E.M. ministry - a ministry of revival, evangelism and missions. There are many components to the ministry that our Lord has called us to, such as:
